TF2 is insanely laggy. Unplayable. [SOLVED]

So i got tf2 on steam and upon reaching the main menu of the game it was already very slow and laggy with considerable delay. I then went in to a private lobby and after loading in and choosing a class it was laggy with severe delay. Like in the 1-5 fps range and the game would respond to my movements 3-5 seconds later.

Kernel: 6.4.3-zen1-2-zen
DE: kde plasma 5.27.6
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600x
GPU: Nvidia geforce rtx 3070 ti
Driver version: 535.86.05
16GB memory

I can provide more info to this so please ask away.

For clarification: is the framerate actually ok, there's just high lag?
Isthe offline practice mode affected?

For clarification: is the framerate actually ok, there's just high lag?
Isthe offline practice mode affected?

The framerate is very very low. 1-5 fps with super long delay for my inputs (ingame inside an offline map). Its a bit better in the menu but the menu experience is still horrendously slow.

Alright people i fixed it. I finally found a thread with a suggestion of installing this 32 bit nvidia package:

lib32-nvidia-utils

Keep in mind that you need this from multilib repository.

This basically fixed the huge lag problems for me.

I would have expected the game to not even start w/o, but… oh, well.
