Stuck in the login screen

After i updated my Arch + KDE installation I can't move past the login screen, I enter my password and as i hit enter it displays black screen for a few seconds and then returns back to the login screen. Have not been to login after many restarts and subsequent updates in the past month which i did using tty.

You're starting plasma and it immediately quits.
Try to lo into an openbox session and run "startplasma-x11" from an interactive terminal.

Usual suspect: did you forget to add a $HOME directory or do you lack rwx permissions on it?

Well, yeah - you're using a dated libplist from the AUR.
Update that or switch to https://archlinux.org/packages/extra/x86_64/libplist/

I removed  libplist-git and installed libplist.

But still I'm getting the same error from startplasma-x11

$ startplasma-x11

It already moved to libplist-2.0.so.4 so your plasma is dated.
Don't conduct partial updates and run a full system update.

Thanks for the tip Seth. libplist was the issue all along, doing full system updates, installing/reinstalling libplist and libplist-git, clean building yay packages, etc. did'nt work.
So i just created a symbolic link of libplist-2.0.so.3 from libplist-2.0.so.4

sudo ln -rs /usr/lib/libplist-2.0.so.4 /usr/lib/libplist-2.0.so.3

Hoping this does'nt create more issues in the future.
