mkinitcpio keeps setting /mnt/boot to read only [SOLVED]

Hi, so I’m trying to fix some kernel issues caused by installing nvidia drivers/blacklisting nouveau drivers, but every time I run

mkinitcpio -P

, it stops at some point and errors:

FAT-fs (nvme0n1p3): error, fat_free_clusters: deleting FAT entry beyond EOF
FAT-fs (nvme0n1p3): Filesystem has been set read-only

and then fails to write /boot/vmlinuz or the fallback image.

This error makes it look like my /boot partition is full but

df

show it is 64% full, and 500MB large (Windows and GRUB EFI)

nevermind, used fsck to restore the partition to a backup and this fixed the problem
