[solved] burpsuite on sway/wayland

Hi,

I'm trying to run burpsuite (Java-based, AUR package) on sway/wayland, but the application does not render any UI. It just prints the following:

$ burpsuite
Your JRE appears to be version 20.0.2 from N/A
Burp has not been fully tested on this platform and you may experience problems.

Any ideas how to fix this? I've also added a "_JAVA_AWT_WM_NONREPARENTING=1" to my .profile, but that does not solve it.

Thanks in advance!

This was really stupid in the end and also explains why other people left no comment on the PortSwigger community forum. I wasn't aware that the JDK/JRE does not support wayland (see also project wakefile (oracle)) and you have to install xwayland in order to get some graphics rendered on your screen.
