Extend display to smart TV via Wifi

I recently bought an Amazon Fire TV just so I could use it as a wireless external monitor for my Arch setup. How can I connect to it through the Wifi?
When I research connecting this I am really only able to find solutions for Windows or Ubuntu.
What do you recommend I do to get this working? Thx guys.

Re: Extend display to smart TV via Wifi

Google says the firetv supports miracast, even if we roll with that, miraclecast as source seems to have a bunch of issues,  https://github.com/albfan/miraclecast/issues/4
On top  of that you needs hostap support by your wifi chip, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Software_access_point

What are those "solutions"?
https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-network-displays ?

I was wrong. Only miraclecast stuff. Also it seems my laptop is not compatible with miracast due to the old wifi card.
What about xinerama??

Re: Extend display to smart TV via Wifi

Did you check the link and for the supported interface modes?

There're wireless hdmi dongles, but they cost ten times as much as a hdmi cable (which can be fairly long, 6-7m is realistic, afterwards you need an active cable w/ signal repeater what's driving the costs up)

Edid: xinerama is an old multihead system that however even back then allowed to combine random GPUs - but it won't help your with wireless attachments)
