issue loading profiles in i3 with xiccd

Hello,

I have an issue where profiles are loaded only for a brief moment before being unloaded.

Profiles were made with DisplayCAL, setup for each display with colormgr while colord and xiccd were running (following the instructions given in ICC profiles page of the wiki), and it worked fine... Until I reboot.

I use i3wm, `colord` service is up and running at boot, `xiccd` is launched in the background when i3 loads.

When I execute

xiccd

from the command line, profiles are loaded but only for a brief moment.

I did try to install them with DisplayCAL afterward to see if anything was different but the same thing happens.

Some additional context:
KDE is installed alongside with i3 (would it interfere?)

May it be an issue with another loader which I don't have knowledge of?

Re: issue loading profiles in i3 with xiccd

Found that disabling redshift allow me to execute xiccd to correctly load the profiles. Then I can launch redshift again and both are working together.

To keep them both working, I'll try launching xiccd before redshift and see how it goes.

Re: issue loading profiles in i3 with xiccd

Hello,

I desperately try to use icc profile with i3 and dual screen.
I can enable colord service as mentioned in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/ICC_profiles
I am not alone : https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Talk:I … 1019165600

If I start colord service, it seems it doesn't detect any device :
colormgr get-devices only report my scanner.
