Since my last upgrade (pacman -Syu), including the following:
[01/14/07 09:49] upgraded cdrkit (1.1.1-1 -> 1.1.1-2)
[01/14/07 09:49] upgraded hplip (1.6.10-1 -> 1.6.12-1)
[01/14/07 09:49] upgraded kernel26 (2.6.19.1-1 -> 2.6.19.2-1)
[01/14/07 09:50] upgraded klibc-udev (103-3 -> 104-1)
[01/14/07 09:50] upgraded qt (3.3.6-4 -> 3.3.7-1)
[01/14/07 09:50] upgraded udev (103-2 -> 104-1)
automount doesn't work for gnome anymore. CD's and DVD's are being mounted, but my external USB-hard drives aren't anymore. This worked always fine before. hal and dbus are in rc.conf, and I tried reinstalling hal dbus the kernel, udev and the gnome-volume-manager but it didn't help.
Any ideas? It is really annoying to mount all this stuff (about 5 partitions) by hand (pmount) everytime I need it.
Thanks for your help
Cheers

I will check this with my external HDD.

Hi Romashka
Thanks for your answer, but as I just remarked, it is working fine now. I don't know what the problem was, did some restarts, reinstalled things etc but it didn't help. Then the next day I started the PC and everything fine again!
So, problem solved! (no idea how ;-))
Cheers
