I have a 21x9 monitor that does not play well with the available EFI GOP resolutions I see from GRUB running videoinfo. I also have a NVIDIA GTX 1070, so I was hoping I could somehow use this instead for both GRUB and the following TTY since now the only available resolutions are ill fitting. I'm currently using the official NVIDIA drivers but I'm not against changing that, whatever it would take to fix this honestly.
I have read a lot of forum posts etc. but I think it's time to admit I'm lost (although it still seems like it should be possible). It's a superficial problem but it's been bugging me for a year now and I just want to fix it.
