[SOLVED] Dell XPS 15 9570 suddenly fails to boot. Is the SS failing?

From one day to another my once working Dell XPS 15 (9570) fails to boot. I get the error message

[FAILED] Failed to start Switch Root

Plus some other messages like I/O ertrors (here's the image) and here's a bad OCR of the messages:

I'm not sure, what's happening. I still can chroot into the installation and read all my data, update the system with pacman etc. But it won't boot?

YES! After blacklisting...

blacklist rtsx_pci
blacklist rtsx_pci_sdmmc

via /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist_rtsx.conf and rebuilding initramfs via

mkinitcpio -P

I'm able to boot again!
