Acpi fan

Hi guys,

Im kinda new at Arch on a laptop, and well, if i turn on my system monitor to check on the status of my Acpi fan, it tells me its off. Now im getting alittle paranoid about my laptop burning up, somehow the temperature gauge is not working, so any help would be appreciated on how to turn the fan on.

I see, so the problem is not that its not working, its just that the monitoring program cant use it, so it gives a default message : off?
