How to switch from Intel Mesa to NVIDIA

So today I installed Arch and I'm from Mint previously. So the install went perfectly, the GRUB was fine, and everything works, except for my NVIDIA card. Even though I have used "sudo pacman -S nvidia", nothing works, glxinfo -B shows Intel Mesa, and doing "sudo pacman -Ss nvidia-utils" shows that it's already installed. I tried restarting, but that didn't solve the issue. My friend told me that I should rebuild fstab but I'm not 100% sure about that either.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated

Sounds like an Optimus system? If so, make sure to check the Optimus wiki page.

fstab has nothing to do with this at all.
