How can I make IceWM less gray?

I like the look of icewm with many themes but the problem is that there's always a part of the windows that stays gray and flat. Buttons are always gray and the menus of every program too. I read that I can use gnome-settings-daemon but I don't know where to get it without downloading full gnome(I use a 56k..).

Install gtk-chtheme and gtk-engines, then run gtk-chtheme and select the theme and font you want. If you want to specify an icon theme, edit .gtkrc-2.0 to include

gtk-icon-theme-name="$themename"
