Cant log into Hyprland using sddm display manager

I got a fresh install without DE and installed Hyprland. It worked fine but didnt want to log in from tty and then launch hyprland manually so I installed sddm.
I havent even set up sddm to run on boot yet. I launched sddm to check its working and i get to the login screen just fine, however, when i type my password it waits a couple seconds, go into a black screen, and then comes back to sddm login screen.

Im new to arch so if anyone could bring some ligth to the matter id be really thankfull.
