You might have to clean out the cache and try to down load again if you haven't already, When I have a problem like that I run pacman -Scc which deletes all the packages in the cache and it usually fixes the problem.

You can run the sortmirrors script. This will find the quickest mirrors to your computer. Otherwise, if that doesn't work, you can edit the mirrors in /etc/pacman.d/

The sortmirrors script is not a good idea, it breaks the mirrors somtimes...
@eduac
go into /etc/pacman.d/
Thera are a few files called "current" "extra" usw
Oppen currend and extra with your editor, and enable/diasable mirrors with comment out ( the # at the beginning)

You might want to have a look here at drakosha's pacman sorting script. I prefer it over sortmirrors.

This suggests you are using the initial download method of pacman.
Many users (specially when you use ftp-mirrors) get better and more stable results by using wget to download the packages.
As root open /etc/pacman.conf in your favorite text editor
Look for this line in general options section :
#XferCommand = /usr/bin/wget --passive-ftp -c -O %o %u
Remove the # to have pacman use wget.

Perhaps.....pacman -Sy pacman.....
Then ..... pacman -Scc....
Then pacman -Syu.
Every time corrupt shows, ...pacman -Scc

If you have another harddrive in the computer, you could mount /var/cache/pacman/pkg to it and see if it works. Or even mount it to a usb memory card and try a small package, just to see if it works.
No idea, just a thought...

Did you ever get this working?
Another thing to try...
After trying to install a package, like bind from an earlier post.
pacman -S bind

Total Package Size: 3.5 MB
Proceed with upgrade? [Y/n]

checking package integrity...
error: archive bind-9.3.3-1.pkg.tar.gz is corrupted
After it has failed, try adding it like this.
# pacman -A /var/cache/pacman/pkg/bind-9.3.3-1.pkg.tar.gz
My thought is that maybe your download is fine, and it is the "check package integrity..." that is not working right. Might help to find the problem.

OK, looks to me like your packages are fine, but the integrity checking isn't working right.
You might try reinstalling pacman. I think you can use –Sf to force the update.
Of course you still will probably have to install it from the cache after it is downloaded
# pacman –Sf pacman
# pacman –Sf /var/cache/pacman/pkg/pacman-2.9.8-4.pkg.tar.gz
If that still doesn't get it working, then pacman is must be using something else to do the checksum. I assume MD5 is used, but I have no idea how pacman uses it.
Anybody else have any ideas?
