I'm trying to install from AUR
networkmanager-fortisslvpn 1.4.0-4, and I receive the same issue with yay, makepkg and manual build
configure.ac:15: error: possibly undefined macro: dnl
If this token and others are legitimate, please use m4_pattern_allow.
See the Autoconf documentation. It seems like a problem with my automake, so it is not a responsibility of maintainer.
I have
automake 1.16.5-2.
How this could be fixed?

You'r system didn't fulfill the minumum requirements to build aur packages (and probably sttill doesn't) ..
Look at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Arch_U … ng_started to figure out what you're missing .
Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.
