May I ask why only using "libreoffice --safe-mode" can get the app starting up ?
Here is the /var/log/pacman.log

What happens, if you start libreoffice from terminal ?
Please post the complete command + output.
And for a 1st testing: temporarily rename .config/libreoffice and then retry.

I did "rm -rf ~/.config/libreoffice" before trying to trigger the starting of "libreoffice", but to no avail.
"libreoffice" alone on terminal gave no command-line text output. Not sure why.

When you start in safe mode, there is a pop-up window in libreoffice to configure some settings, e.g. disable hardware acceleration etc. Did you try them all ?
Anything relevant in dmesg or journalctl after a failed libreoffice start ?
When did the issue starts, with last update ?
Another idea is to switch from libreoffice-fresh to libreoffice-still (at least for testing), see the arch wiki for more details.
