[SOLVED] Hyprland crashing after recent Nvidia update

Hi, today I did an update and I impulsively accepted it before realizing that it included a Nvidia driver updates, and I tried to cancel it but it was too late. Now Hyprland crashes when launching it both from TTY and SDDM with these errors:

[CRITICAL] m_sWLRRenderer was NULL!
[CRITICAL] Critical error thrown: wlr_gles2_renderer_create_with_drm_fd() failed!

I've tried running with

WLR_RENDERER_ALLOW_SOFTWARE=1 Hyprland

, but same result.

Also tried running

mkinitcpio --config /etc/mkinitcpio.conf --generate /boot/initramfs-custom.img

and it failed to generate an image, even though no error was printed, only warnings. In my mkinitcpio.conf I have the modules the wiki recommends (nvidia nvidia_modeset nvidia_uvm and nvidia_drm)

Finally, I went to the AUR page for hyprland-nvidia and the package was flagged out of date. Should I wait until it updates or I should do something about it?

Also, perhaps I screwed something when canceling during the upgrade, but I reran my AUR helper and didn't redo anything

Re: [SOLVED] Hyprland crashing after recent Nvidia update

Running

mkinitcpio -P

seemed to fix the issue, closing
