Gensplash Problem

Hello,

I started using kernel26beyond with the NewArch theme.. (gensplash aka fbsplash) When I'm in verbose mode, it also prints kernel messages despite I've allready written quiet to menu.lst.

When I'm in silent mode, there's no problem but the image of the silent mode disappears quickly and a black screen appears for about 6-7 seconds and then GDM starts...

I think there are still stability problems for gensplash programs.. Does anybody have a suggestion about these problems ?

its a bug in the initscripts, and a bug has been filed on the bugtracker.

As for the black screen, theres not much gensplash can do to prevent that.

Yeah, me too.
I'm seeing all sorts of info regarding raid/lvm and other stuff despite my quite parameter in grub.
