I used to have a perfectly running Qemu environment on my desktop box, managed by virt-manager with a Windows 10 guest running on Arch host.
Two of the host's external drives are (were) shared between host and guest---mounted as usual in Arch, and mapped to the X: and Y: drives on Windows through Virt-manager's virtual machine properties list.
I hadn't used the VM for a few months (was abroad for work) and when I launched again, after the usual system updates, I could not see any longer the X: and Y: drives from the Windows guest. The VM still has them listed in its properties, but they simply don't show up in Windows's Explorer (if that's how the file browser is called, I forget).
Everything else works fine, except for the now inaccessible shared drives. I didn't find any hint to similar problems in the forums or online. Is there is a particular place/log I should be looking at?
Or is it better to switch to a perhaps more robust solution and start using samba, as recommended by the Qemu Arch page?
