I did a partial upgrade using yay, and update around 120 packages out of 400, only the small ones
I went to eat dinner so I shutdown my laptop
After coming back, arch linux boots and then immediate shutdown multiple times until it hangs. I have tried opening terminal using ctrl+alt+f2, but it's saying it is not supported
There is no display manager opening, the booting helps before that
I am a little desperate because I have a project submission tomorrow, so anything helps

you'll likely have to boot an install disk and finish the update from there. You might be able to chroot into the system, but if not, using pacman on the ISO with the --root option.

How do I do that, I have a USB ready and I have a spare laptop.
Chroot won't be an issue(probably) because I have all the passwords.

The same way you did when you installed the system

Thank you! One last question though
Is it possible to use yay or Pacman from the Mac recovery mode? I have Linux on a Mac so I might as well try
