lvmcache | bkup & update

a few days ago i did a dd bkup of my lvmcached
lvm on luks root part prior to -Syu. & new rp-pppoe
had missing start|stop scripts wtf so immediately i
lost my pppoe connection. well-hell i figured i can get
these files back from my dd-bkup. so i mounted that dd
image from livecd against the same lvmcache [rw
unfort]. & these files were missing there too. ouch..

so how did that happen? i had writeback cache mode.
& who would have thought that lvmcache would flush?
back to my ddbkup corrupting it. the fs had gone fubar(
so i rebooted back into new install to uncache it all but
hence that blasted lvmcache cant be uncached/split w/o
the cache lvm itself (can it?) it messed up my root part too((

so pacman showed segfault error & some lib was bitfukced..

what the hell. how is this even possible? what did i miss?
had i uncached the root before ddbkup it would have been
ok i guess. yet that doesnt seem to be righteous as well.

now i'm about to ditch that cache thing but
not quite yet since it performs rather decently.
so what would be the correct protocol
for bkup/updating such config?
