Guys pardon me this is my first post
I've tried installing arch manually and using the install script 2 times and all 3 times it resulted in a system that is unable to power off or reboot properly ,
the terminal would just hang on powering off /rebooting and I tried letting it sit for 30 minutes and it still remains.
In addition there is also a line saying
kvm: exiting hardware virtualization ,this line would always disappear if i disable virtualization in the bios.
However the problem still remains where I have to forcibly hold the power button on my thinkpad each time i want to shutdown completely
shutdown[1] : Powering OffI have installed arch multiple times manually on 2 systems and some virtual machines and i did nothing different between the installations and I have not encountered such issues.
My suspicion is that there is something wrong with the thinkpad's bios to which i updated to the latest version https://pcsupport.lenovo.com/us/en/prod … -x13-gen-1
I also saw a thread of someone with a similar issue https://www.reddit.com/r/thinkpad/comme … power_off/
Please let me know what logs is required and I will provide them, sorry I'm still very new to the forums and arch itself

Apparently it is due to disabling microphone access in the BIOS that caused the shutting down and rebooting issue.
