Cloud init??

When booting the ISO under VMware I see a bunch of messages related to a cloud-init.  This does not happen with Virtual Box, and it does not happen once Arch has been installed.  Here's what bing had to say about it:

Cloud-init is a package that provides a mechanism for cloud instance initialization1. It can be used to configure many common parameters of the instance directly after installation2. VMware supports cloud-init as one of the ways to provide data to the instance3. It may happen when booting the ISO for Arch Linux under VMware because the ISO image is built with cloud-init enabled4. You can switch to a different customization engine by following the guidelines in this link3.

I'm curious, what is this?  It sounds like the Arch ISO thinks it is running in a cloud.  Does that make sense?  It doesn't seem to cause any problem with the installation.

Please be specific with error messages, "a bunch of messages" doesn't describe any problem. With Arch, your first step in finding out anything is typically to consult the Wiki, specifically Cloud-init.

Thanks, the link you gave me explains it.  In the future, I'll look at the wiki first!
