[Solved][Issue] UEFI - Attempting to boot Arch on UEFI loops

I attempted to install Arch in UEFI mode. However, doing so everytime I do `grub-install` , it always lead me to the GRUB interface saying `Reboot Into Firmware Interface` option.

I followed multiple links and

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/installation_guide
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/User:S … guide_UEFI

But still got stuck with this error.

Would be great if you can help me with some steps for troubleshooting.

My Motherboard: PRIME B760M-A WIFI

Re: [Solved][Issue] UEFI - Attempting to boot Arch on UEFI loops

grub-install on it's own only installs GRUB; did you also generate a config? In general, boot the iso, mount the partitions like you think they are correct, chroot in and post the outputs of

lsblk -f
mount
ls -l /boot
cat /boot/grub/grub.cfg
cat /etc/fstav
efibootmgr -uv

I know that there is some img files missing on /boot, so I reattempted to set it up via refind instead of grub this time, https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/REFInd , but it didnt work. I have installed Arch a few times earlier, but this time it had been pretty hectic.

Did you forget to install a kernel?

Not really thats the strange thing. I installed it via `pacstrap -K /mnt base linux linux-firmware`

The kernel tries to mount "" as root device - post your refind config(s)

Also please don't post images of text, post the text.
See the 1st link below on how to do that from the console.

Thanks Guys I got it resolved after reading the installation instructions again, and this time it worked except for the keys, which I know I would manage to get sorted.

Please give a quick summary of what was ultimately the solution, and mark the topic as [SOLVED] by editing the title in your first post.

TBH I really don't know, what I did this time was carefully going through all the steps in https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/installation_guide with detailed links.

Then while installing the bootloader, I tried to make the process simpler, but setting just the esp to /boot (didn't fancy out with /efi or the possibility of dual boot with Windows record, which I am thinking of recovering later as this was installed in a whole different disk)
