Nvidia Wiki DRM Kernel mode setting

https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/NVIDIA

On 1.3

DRM kernel mode setting
To enable DRM (Direct Rendering Manager) kernel mode setting, add the nvidia_drm.modeset=1 kernel parameter. The option is required to disable simpledrm activation, which may cause driver malfunction. See FS#73720.

"

On fedora, the kernel mode setting is nvidia-drm.modeset=1

I just want to clarify. Perhaps wiki had a typo error?

or any source? which one is right?

Thanks

Re: Nvidia Wiki DRM Kernel mode setting

I have the one matching the Fedora one. I can't speak to the wiki (though that's what I used, so either I made an error, or it's since been changed. It was a long time ago).

Re: Nvidia Wiki DRM Kernel mode setting

Both are correct, hyphen or underscore do not matter when module parameter logistics get involved, note the note: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Kernel … nformation

and: https://github.com/torvalds/linux/blob/ … #L102-L127
