Since this morning I noticed that Thunderbird (115.4.1-1, updated 4 days ago) occasionally eats 100% of a single core, and during this period the user interface becomes laggy and quite frustrating. It didn't behave like this the days before. This behavior is triggered by any change in the folders (e.g. moving or deleting a message) so I suspect something related to the database. I don't exactly know how to proceed; I repaired one of my Inbox folders to no avail, and I'd avoid doing that for all the other 50+ folders in my setup without any strong hint that this could solve the problem. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I tracked the problem down to the systray-x-kde extension: version 0.9.6-1 is buggy, downgrading to 0.9.5-2 solves the problem. I'm going to file a bug.
