Timeshift like image backup with network support?

Does anyone know of a backup program like Timeshift that has the ability to create the image on a network drive?

Timeshift is a backup program that creates a point in time snapshot of the entire system. It's very good at what it does. I have used it to restore a complete system in just a few minutes. The problem is that it only allows the creation of a repository on the root of a local partition, such as a USB drive. I need to be able to backup to shared drive on my local network. I'm not seeing much in the way of a description for backintime, but I am seeing what looks like a lot of drama over how it gets installed.

If you use btrfs as a filesystem, there is btrfs send, but I am not sure if it's any good.

Currently I use borgbackup on the whole drive.
Borg can send backups to servers either via ssh (slow) or via it's own way, which is fast but requires to install borgbackup on the recieving machine.
It also deduplicates and versions the file changes (akin to git) which allows you to heavily reduce the storage requirements.

It is not quite like timeshift - but I can restore my system with that in the event of a catastrophic failure.

Timeshift has saved my bacon more times than I can count. This program is in the extra repository.
