I am unable to load the Teams chat in Firefox. I can see the conversations on the left panel, but clicking on one of them I see no messages in the central panel. I noticed that in private mode it works, so I deleted the cookies and the site data as explained here, with no luck. I'd like to avoid clearing all the Firefox cache, so how can I fix this?

Try chromium based browser. Firefox, Safari are not fully supported by Microsoft.

Hi xerxes_, I know that Firefox has not the best support for teams. But since it is my production browser, and since I know it works with Teams since in incognito mode the chat has no problem, I'd like to solve this issue rather than changing browser.

This page talks about login loops, but the same kind of white screen not loading happens to me on my local water utilily's secure client system. It mostly has to do with Firefox's "strict" mode, and these changes bypass that for Teams:

@rubenvb: I followed the guide and added the URLs (by the way I'm sure I did this before, but for some reason the list of allowed sites was empty). But this didn't help, I still cannot see the chat messages. This does not surprise me much, since as I wrote the chat works in a private Firefox window which if I'm correct is generally more restrictive with cookies than ordinary windows.

Don't use "Strict" policy of Firefox, but try Standard or your own policy and try first 3 options with cookies or you can even uncheck to block cookies at all.

I was using the standard policy, not the strict one. Anyway I switched to custom and disabled everything, but still the chat does not load. By the way, to be clear: Teams app loads fine, it's just the chat main panel that does not show any message when I select a conversation.

Did you tried developer tools in Firefox? See in network, reload page if needed. Also mark this chat main panel and see it in inspector, also try other tools in tabs; maybe you will find something useful what may point at right direction.

I had the same problem and turned off all my Firefox extensions and turned them on one by one to check whether they affected the page. For me, it was Simplify Co-pilot

The cuplrit extension is Dark Reader. I'll open a bug report upstream. Thanks soupcup for the hint.
