[SOLVED] Theming for Thunar/Veracrypt/Other Applications on Hyprland

I am switching over from KDE Plasma to Hyprland. I am having an embarrassingly hard time trying to change the theme (background, text color, etc) of several windows these include thunar file manger, veracyrpt, and Firefox profile selection menu. All of these applications plus many more, still have the aesthetics of my KDE setup.

I have tried changing the theme in KDE system settings.

I have tried copying these files into  ~/.config/qt5ct and then setting the environment variable:

QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME=qt5ct

in /etc/environment, in ~/.bashrc, and in ~/.config/hypr/hyprland.conf

I have tried downloading Kvantum Manager and changing themes there.

I have tried to change ~/.config/gtk-3.0/settings.ini to the config from here.

I have been trying for over 4 hours at this point but, as you can probably tell I am unable to understand that relationship of the themes of these apps. All of them have a distinctive green text and purple background that I used in KDE, and it seems no matter what configs I change, I cannot change this fact. I don't know if the common link is qt5, gtk, KDE, or what.

When I run the install script on the github repo linked above, everything turns out fine, but I do not understand what it does that is different than installing packages and simply copying the dot files over.

I apologize for the messy "question", I really do not know how to ask it at this point. Could anyone provide some guidance on what the common thread is / where this seemingly "global" theme seems to be coming from.

Edit [Solved]: I had set an environment variable for GTK_THEME in my hyprland.conf and forgotten about it. This was overriding everything else.
