Login screen gets slower over the days until it requires hard reboot

Hi,

The login screen I use (I don't know how to know the name of it, but I use cinnamon and I think the login screen is a common Gnome-related one, gdm? It has a blue button with white font at the beginning) on my Archlinux laptop always gets slower and slower over the days.

That is, initially when opening the laptop I can enter my password immediately, but progressively over days/weeks it gets slower and slower upon opening laptop. That is, mouse pointer will still work, but trying to place cursor in the password box doesn't work for a few minutes until it's finally ready.

Then eventually it gets so slow, the password box doesn't even appear, only the time and a mouse pointer, nothing else.

Then I have no choice but to hard reboot, and the cycle begins again.

Does this sound recognizable? Any solution to this? Thanks!
