Fvwm KISe

I have been using Fvwm with Arch Linux for a while and really like the low resources and 100% configurable. Arch and Fvwm is a fantastic combination.

The ready-made small Fvwm script of functions and modules developed by @rasat, creates a great base. I asked rasat if I could post his latest Fvwm KISe (Fvwm Keep-it-simple & elegant). A simplified version of Fvwm-myExt collection of ready-made scripts. A simple and elegant base and is feature-rich.

MAIN FEATURES:
* Desk Launcher (includes): Iconfied Thumbnails, Windows Overview, Tiling, and Work Desk.
* Work Desk with navigation buttons and 4 Desks with 2 Pages each (Web, Email, Work and Misc. desk).
* Icon/Application Panel
* Task Panel
* Calendar/Day/Time Panel
* 4-button Window Title Bar
* Page Indicator
* Elegant transparency and shadows.
* Window focus on all desks and pages.

Re: Fvwm KISe

It's beautiful, thank you! Have you tried fvwm3? It is under active development.
Edit: I see it's been tested on Fvwm3 smile

Re: Fvwm KISe

It is designed for Fvwm3 and checked on Fvwm2 when there are new updates. Today updated to version 1.6.7. Performance improvements and a fix for Fvwm2. Improved one-click switch button for Tiling and Work Desk.

The improved RootTransparent command (real transparency) and the use of Picom compositor are good developments.

Check this screenshot. Picom shadow (menu and window) and Fvwm transparency (icons and the pager upper right corner):

Re: Fvwm KISe

Today I made one transparent desk with Kise. Picom right-side shadow for windows and fvwm transparent for all modules.

Colorset 15:
RootTransparent Buffer, Tint #4a516a 50, fg white, bg black

Re: Fvwm KISe

There is a new update version 1.7.0. It has full-screen maximize and scalable wallpaper features.

I copied this screenshot from Pling. Fantastic wallpaper, not depending on tiled but scales with screen resolution. I didn't know Fvwm does it well with feh --bg-scale.

Re: Fvwm KISe

There have been major improvements since 1.7.0. Version 1.9.1 includes an XDG menu, a Keyboard language switch, a Wallpaper switch with feh, improved transparency, and lower memory usage. And the Page (Workspace) Indicator is renewed.
