how do i start from a beginner to install makepkg/dependencies, etc.
I am a pro gamer/streamer and been a long term and supportive Linux fan and just wanted to know the basics when installing software on arch Linux. i currently use pacman -S and search on the arch packages site to see if its there but i use a goxlr utility for my goxlr and its not there on the yay aur package is there and people are telling me not to use yay which im having problems installing yay since im getting fatal errors like running makepkg -si sill cause catastrophic permanent damage to my system if i run this as root. I am confused and would like to know how i can get the goxlr utility on my system
