[SOLVED] librewolf does not open external links when already running

hi,
I have a fresh installed system on a Thinkpad T460s (with nVidia GM108M gpu).
My DE is recent Gnome with Wayland. All is up-to-date. xdg-portal(s) installed.

the problem:
when librewolf (librewolf-bin 120.0-1) is running I can not open links from, say, evolution or the terminal. each time it takes about 5 seconds until this gui-message is thrown:

"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To use Firefox, you must first close the existing Firefox process, restart your device, or use a different profile."

(I know this is another round of a boring topic. Sorry. But ...)
I tried all the hints I was able to find towards this problem. Most recently this: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=284906
But it doesn't help, here, probably because the original poster has a different setup, running X, and it was bug in FF which reportedly has been solved.

Looking at the terminal I get two kinds of errors reported (while one instance of librewolf is running and in the terminal I go):

librewolf --new-tab archlinux.org
Crash Annotation GraphicsCriticalError: |[0][GFX1-]: vaapitest: ERROR (t=10.4893) [GFX1-]: vaapitest: ERROR
Crash Annotation GraphicsCriticalError: |[0][GFX1-]: vaapitest: ERROR (t=10.4893) |[1][GFX1-]: vaapitest: VA-API test failed: failed to initialise VAAPI connection.
(t=10.4893) [GFX1-]: vaapitest: VA-API test failed: failed to initialise VAAPI connection.

JavaScript error: resource://gre/modules/XULStore.sys.mjs, line 60: Error: Can't find profile directory.
JavaScript error: resource://gre/modules/XULStore.sys.mjs, line 60: Error: Can't find profile directory.

JavaScript error: resource://gre/modules/XULStore.sys.mjs, line 60: Error: Can't find profile directory.

So, firstly, there the graphics issue, which I don't understand and haven't found anything helpful about.
Then, there is the JavaScript error, which I also don't have a clue to deal with.

I was trying to get working by altering the profiles and also trying different environment variables as outlined here: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=263241

Happy about any hint!
Thanks in advance

Hello,
librewolf has just been updated here on my laptop to 120.0-2 and this issue has been fixed.
We can close or even delete this thread.
