nvidia issues

So at Frist my games keept blacking out once they run under 60fps or above 60fps, then i downgraded drivers from 545.29.06-1 to 535.113.01-1, this issue seem to have been fixed with all games that is installed from pacman, games installed from flatpak still have this issue

but now my screen keeps blacking out

games also is sttuering like crazy (flatpak)

also when i mimize some games and try to remimize them they crash

kde also keeps freezing, every random time taskbar / panel would stop responding and i would have to run systemctl --user restart plasma-plasmashell

pls help me to fix this issues

There're several reports about 545xx issues, so that's no surprise.
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=290126&p=3 suggests issues between (even) 535xx and the 6.6 kernels
Do you get the same problems w/ the LTS kernel?

Edit: don't forget to install nvidia-lts

i havent tried lts kernel, i midge try it, btw i use nvidia-dkms so i dont need lts

seems like the lts kernal and xorg is working, wayland is still broken, kde panel keeps freezing
its bug in kde https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=449163 , so i will just use xorg for now

is the issues with 6.6 going to get fixed?

"eventually"… my 8-ball is as good as yours and nvidia is a blackbox - even their bugtracker is internal.

now i have worse issue
all steam games is stuck at processing vulkan shaders
and some games is still crashing when i minemize them

Re: nvidia issues

about xorg, i have replaced kde with gnome, since i had very big lag on kde even that games was running at 60fps, gnome seems to have fixed that, still games is crashing when i mimize them

Please use [ code ] [ /code ] tags without the spaces for posting outputs.

Detection wise things look correctly but in these outputs you're on the 545 drivers instead of 535 again.

i just want to fix games crashing when i mimize them, also i noticed a big shaders freezes in windows games, bascily the games that crashs when i mimize them is wine / proton / windows games, emaulted games / linux native games doesnt crash

I informed you about several reports reg. issues w/ the 545xx series and isolated issues w/ 535xx and the 6.6 kernels so the "safe" option would by inference be 535+LTS
So maybe try that and report back.

Fixes for the nvidia kernel driver and related userspace have to come from Nvidia.  If there is not a report for your issue already on the nvidia linux forum I suggest you open one.  Otherwise all that is available to you is working around the issue by avoiding using older nvidia releases with the consequent limitations on kernel compatibility.

ok i am going to wait for nvidia driver fix, btw all issues i have with kde wayland i found them in https://community.kde.org/Plasma/Wayland_Showstoppers

i think this means my issue is more likely with kwin and mutter not nvidia drivers its self
