[Solved] Fresh Arch install with Plasma but problems with sddm

Hello everyone,
I installed Arch Linux in a virtual machine following the official guide, then I added plasma and now after boot I get to the sddm login screen.
I enter the password in the appropriate field and press Enter but nothing happens.
At the top of the Session field there is nothing, it is blank.
What do I need to check for the login to work? Do you need any logs to help me?

With "added Plasma" I mean that I've followed this guide: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/KDE
I think I've executed something like 

pacman -S plasma plasma-wayland-session kde-applications

or like 

pacman -S plasma xorg plasma-wayland-session kde-applications

xinit is fine and if their xinitrc was shit, the server would simply terminate.

(EE) Server terminated with error (1). Closing log file.1/share/xorg/Xorg.0.log" for additional information.

That's either b/c the OP attempts to run xinit from a running display server or bad.
In any event, do as Xorg told and check the log.

Remove those again, you neither want nor need them.

The server terminates cleanly b/c there's nothing to do.
What started that server? SDDM? You, manually?

Edit: there's no apparent attempt to log into a plasma session (from SDDM) in that journal.
Edit #2: and since you logged in as root on the console there, please don't run startx as root.

Your xinitrc is broken, see the last link below.
No idea whether the degraded session prevents plasma from starting, but afaiu it starts through user services mostly.

Did you meanwhile try to start KDE from SDDM again (after installing xf86-video-vmware)?

In the meanwhile I've done a reboot, tried 2 times to login with sddm, then tried startx command from "dani" user and this is the log:

I'm sorry seth, I don't know why plasma-workspace wasn't installed since it is part of plasma group.

I have deleted the virtual machine and reinstalled Arch with more attention at every step.

Just 5 min ago I was able to launch Plasma with startx.
