[SOLVED] How to remove completly flatpak from Arch installation?

I never used flatpak nor did I ever install any application using flatpak. Pacman repos and AUR are all I need.

/var/lib/flatpak on my system occupies 4.2 Gb, what a waste of space!

flatpak list gives an empty line.

pacman -Qo /var/lib/flatpak/
erreur : aucun paquet ne contient /var/lib/flatpak → in french it says that no package uses /var/lib/flatpak

sudo pacman -Rnsc flatpak flatpak-builder

Can I remove all these 33 packages and reinstall all but flatpak and flatpak-builder to get rid of flatpak?

/var/lib/flatpak belongs to no package, shall I remove it manually after the removal of flatpak?

I didn't find any explained and safe way to uninstall flatpak and flatpak-builder from an Arch system in Arch Wiki...

LC_ALL=C

If you don't care for the optional dependencies, you can remove those packages and you'll have to wipe /var/lib/flatpak yourself, yes.

There's no explanation to uninstall it because it's some something that'd somehow accidentally have made it on the system.
You probably installed it as optional dependency for gnome-software.

You probably installed the whole gnome-extra group, which includes gnome-builder that directly depends on flatpak. If you don't use it, simply remove all the 33 packages.

I'm french, don't mind my mistakes in english.

Re: [SOLVED] How to remove completly flatpak from Arch installation?

In French we say « La nuit porte conseil » or "Sleep on it" in English. I found an elegant solution: I simply removed /var/lib/flatpak and replace it's content by a fresh /var/lib/flatpak from another recent Arch installation. I tar.gz'ed the directory from the fresh install and untared it on the other laptop. I saved more than 4 GB!

The Arch installation on the laptop is more than 4 years old, maybe gnome-extra was installed and maybe did I one tried a flatpak  - I can't remember... I decided to let flatpak and flatpak-builder installed as gnome-builder is maybe used for some AUR gnome extensions?
