[SOLVED] Kernel above 6.5 makes 3D apps unusable on Intel graphics

I know it's since quiet a log time but I had no enough motivation to post this issue before. Just added kernels to Ignore group and hoped it will be eventually fixed in the future. Internet searches results supported this hope but failed as found related issues were fixed for the others but not for me.
Issue refers to ordinary kernel, Zen and hardened. Lts works fine.
Interestingly, some versions in the middle gave black screen just after boot.

Was the issue introduced in 6.4.8.arch1-1 or did your upgrade from 6.4.7-arch1-3 skip some releases? If it skipped any which is the earliest release with the issue? In that case could you also please test 6.4.8.arch1-1 from the ALA.

I update my system very often, usually every day, so I'm nearly sure I didn't skip any releases. I remember there was just the next version that stopped work.

You can check in /var/log/pacman.log and 6.4.8.arch1-1 may be in pacman's cache. Knowing the first release with the issue is important for bisecting the issue with git.

Error about loading i965 exists also with 6.4.7 kernel, without any issue.

Remove every single xf86-video-* package and make sure there're no residual configs referencing the intel driver

grep -ri intel /{etc,usr/share}/X11/xorg.conf*

I was so sure that 6.4.7 is the last working that I checked mentioned version just for peace in mind. And got very big surprise, as all versions of 6.4* appeared to work fine. I experiencing some kind of Mandela effect or so... Anyway, following version 6.5 there is black screen on boot and from 6.5.8 there are just 3D artefacts. I haven't checked version from 6.5.2 to 6.5.7, I'm too tired for it now, maybe tomorrow.

The xf86-video-intel driver is bitrot and borderline unmaintained/tested on modern-ish IGPs and you'd need mesa-amber (don't) or went for the software rasterizer (check the xorg log…) and causes this kind of problems.

I bet your right arm that this has nothing to do w/ the kernel per-se, simply that the friction between i915 kernel module, mesa and xf86-video-intel became too big.
