Dwarf Fortress 50.11. - missing tiles in non-ascii mode

Hi there,

since Dwarf Fortress hasn't seen an update since 0.47.5 in the official repos, I decided to download the linux package from the bay12games website.

As you can see, the game looks fine in ASCII-mode and is totally playable.

However, wenn I switch to non ASCII-mode huge chunks of the tiles are missing, i.e. no dwarfs are visible, no cart and most of the menu is missing.

Funny enough, it's the same with the Windows-version in wine 8.21.

So do you think this is merely a bug on the dev's side of Dwarf Fortress or is there some dependency I'm missing? (I only had to install sdl2_image to be able to launch Dwarf Fortress).

Thanks in advance.

I personally noticed that the latest Linux binary for DF doesn't boot up in ncurses.
Doesn't output any errors - nothing just comes up on the screen.

SDL version seems to work fine though..

Since I'm running the SDL-Version, are you saying that you don't have those missing tiles? Can you confirm that?
