Hello,
I have arch installed on a USB which has worked perfectly for months, but suddenly started freezing, and now seems to be getting worse.
At first, I would just be using arch normally and then it would freeze for a few seconds, before working normally again. But now it has started locking up on me completely and I have to manually power off and reboot.
As for what triggers this I am not sure: All I can say is that it happens while I have both a browser with multiple tabs and a terminal open and am programming in python.
Also, possibly related: Sometimes when I shutdown arch, it exits everything successfully, but does not actually power off the computer and I have to manually power it off.
Would very much appreciate some help,
Thanks

probably a bad/failing usb stick, i would try cloning the install to another stick to rule that out first.

6.6.5 had a massive wifi bug that throws off network managing daemons and causes freezes and shutdown errors as consequence; if you're currently running that kernel: update.

PSA: usb keys are not cheap SSDs. There's no load balancing, you'll overuse some cells and they'll die relatively fast.
