External monitor on laptop not recognised

Hi,

I'm installing arch with wayland and Hyprland on my laptop Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon (Gen 7).
Gpu is intergrated to the cpu(intel) and there is no external one.

I cannot get my external monitor to work, when I plug in the hdmi the monitor wakes up and displays "no signal".

What am I missing here?

Yes I have.
I don't think the problem is related to resolution or that kind of configs.
The display is not recognised at all.

hyprctl monitors only return the internal monitor.
