Does anybody with latest xfce4-svn (or possibly 4.4 final) has shutdown/reboot dialog's working ?
As it appears to be broken in this location.
I'm building Arch w/ xfce4-svn then 4.4 on an old PII 360MHz / 98Mo RAM (shared!). Here's how it looks :
Xfce-panel's quit button worked fine with latest xfce from current now just close the session without any dialog,.
I've
- added user to the 'power' group
- configured sudo:
%users celeron=NOPASSWD: /sbin/shutdown -h now
%users celeron=NOPASSWD: /sbin/shutdown -r now
%users=(root) NOPASSWD: /opt/xfce4/libexec/xfsm-shutdown-helper
Samething with "test ALL=(root) NOPASSWD: /opt/xfce4/libexec/xfsm-shutdown-helper"
Here's the output of /opt/xfce4/libexec/xfsm-shutdown-helper from console (same with/without sudo):
XFSM_SUDO_DONE
FAILED
That box is not for me & I can hardly give it to the old lady without a button to shut down :?
ps : this is a new post as for this issue only. Sorry for double-posting from here
EDIT : same issue with xfce4.4 stable from extra

Add something like this to sudo:
%users ALL = NOPASSWD:/opt/xfce4/libexec/xfsm-shutdown-helper
Add yourself to the users group (gpasswd -a <you> users), logout, login and try again.

Allready tried.
This is what worked with xfce4.2 & is broken with 4.4:
I've
- added user to the 'power' group
- configured sudo:%users celeron=NOPASSWD: /sbin/shutdown -h now %users celeron=NOPASSWD: /sbin/shutdown -r now %users=(root) NOPASSWD: /opt/xfce4/libexec/xfsm-shutdown-helper

& same thing with "%users ALL = NOPASSWD:/opt/xfce4/libexec/xfsm-shutdown-helper "

This happened on my machine also, when I upgraded to rc2, and the solution was very simple - go to Settings -> Session and Startup and check "Prompt on logout". I don't know why that setting wasn't preserved over the upgrade, but it worked.

I'll try ASAP (currently testing erp5 live cd) !

big thank to you tomk - ["go rev ma a got" or something like this!?]
Had allready installed & configured acpid to shutdown the system by pressing the power buton, but this is much better.

My pleasure - glad it worked.
"go rev ma a got" or something like this!?
Impressive! You're absolutely right phonetically, and the actual spelling is "go raibh maith agat". And I'm happy to respond with "Tá fáilte romhat".
