[SOLVED] Authentication service cannot retrieve authentication info

usually, when I go ahead and lock my system, it unlocks. but then it just told me that it could not unlock.
I dug deeper to discover that pam.service is the issue and when I ran vlock, I got this

ok, I just reinstalled pam

how is it that easy
