Hello,
I installed Arch via the archinstall script.
Is there a way to get a 4k 50/60Hz picture from my laptop (GPU: Nvidia 950M) to my 4k TV (Model: UE43AU7092UXXH).
I am using a (HDMI: AK-330107-010-S) cable as the connector.
Output of xrandr:
Screen 0: minimum 320 x 200, current 3840 x 2160, maximum 16384 x 16384
HDMI-1 connected primary 3840x2160+0+0 (normal left inverted right x axis y axis) 1872mm x 1053mm

I removed the newly added modes before I printed this.
I followed this section https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/xrandr … esolutions and got the result xrandr: Configure crtc 0 failed
Output of lspci -knn | grep -iA3 'vga\|3d\|display':

Anyone know what could be the problem ?

The cable. For this to work with HDMI you need a special version of cable, you'll have generally more luck with DP.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HDMI#Refr … dard_video
Either "Ultra high speed" that I doubt a GPU this old properly supports or with a limited color band "Premium High Speed"
And seeing that lspci output, your nvidia card is irrelevant and everything hinges on the integrated GPU, which will likely be somewhat weak in general, don't get your hopes up.
Did you try the reduced blanking options in: https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Xrandr#Screen_blinking ?

I use prime-run when I want to run any demanding applications.
About the mentioned section its the same output. I'll try to find a better HDMI cable and see if it's the cause of it.

Yes, but the output is wired to the intel chip and that's the only thing that matters wrt the subject of this thread.

"Max Resolution (HDMI): 4096x2304@24Hz" is HDMI 1.4b so you can forget about the cable upgrade in this case.
But "Max Resolution (DP): 4096x2304@60Hz"
you'll have … more luck with DP
