[SOLVED] Problem with bluetooth Audio

Hello,
I suddenly have problems with the audio output on my Bluetooth devices. Audio works through the laptop speakers but not through the Bluetooth headphones or the Bluetooth box. The pairing of the Bluetooth devices works. In any case, it says "connected" in the Gnome settings.
I am not so familiar with the installed packages. I have installed the following packages in the past and I think it was because of I used xfce as desktop at that time: pulseaudio, pulseaudio-alsa, alsa-utils, pavucontrol
But I don't think I need all the packages. The sound works on the laptop and gnome also with only the package pulseaudio.
I also think my Bluetooth problem is because of something else and not about this packages? What are the standard packages for audio in arch or it depends about gnome?

What is it about pipewire that I often read here in the forum. Should I use that in arch?
Question after question and I can't figure it out at the moment.
Can anyone help me?

Re: [SOLVED] Problem with bluetooth Audio

For bluetooth audio to work with pulseaudio, you need the package pulseaudio-bluetooth installed.

Re: [SOLVED] Problem with bluetooth Audio

pulseaudio-bluetooth was installed. The output via the Bluetooth Box now works again, I did the following.

I've read that you can replace pulseaudio with pipewire. I did this as follows.

pacman -S pipewire pipewire-pulse

This uninstalled "pulseaudio" and "pulseaudio-bluetooth". After a reboot, audio works as usual but also the audio output via Bluetooth.

I read that the pactlinfo command normaly should displayed like this:

pactl info
[…]
Server Name: PulseAudio (on PipeWire 0.3.21)
[…]

but with me the following is displayed.

Connection failure: Connection refused
pa_context_connect() failed: Connection refused

But still, everything works.

Does it all make sense? Did I do the right thing? As I said, audio now also works via bluetooth. For me I think everything is fine :-)

Edit:
ok pactl info with a nonroot user actually shows:

pactl info

Re: [SOLVED] Problem with bluetooth Audio

Yes that's what you want. Generally speaking don't get into the habit of putting sudo in front of every command, in this case pipewire runs as your normal user and will not work nor start on root by default.
