Every time I restart Libreoffice Writer or create a new document, it returns all previous printer settings to its own 'default' values.
That alone wouldn't be the problem if 'grayscale' wouldn't be 'default' for Writer.
I'm using Canon Pixma mg5450 via wifi, with CUPS and Avahi. In CUPS I've set the driver to use RGB color and CMYK.
I don't know where it gets the Grayscale defaults, but anyway, it would be nice if I could permanently change some .config file for print in Libreoffice to always use color.
Otherwise, the printer and its gutenprint driver works nicely.

Luckily I've found a workaround.
This bug happens only when new doc is created, but if you save your file after you changed the printer settings, it will remain.
Instead of creating a new page that resets the printer settings, save the blank page with desired settings and always open and edit that page or that document. That way you won't have to set Printer back to color every single time.
