Thinkpad T14 Gen 1 (AMD) disk errors after resume, if hdd password set

My T14 (Gen 1 AMD, type 20UD, 20UE) is unable to resume from sleep if the hard disk password is set in bios and S0ix is selected as sleep method. It seems like the disk (nvme) stays locked after resume from sleep. When using S3 as sleep method everything is fine (the sleeping method is an option in bios).

S0ix + Windows everything is fine. That shows me that there might be an OS fix for the issue.

Haw anyone else come across this issue and happen to know a fix? Maybe a kernel option?

The problem with Thinkpads+S3+Linux is the hideous power consumption. Around 2 % battery drain per hour of sleep.

The problem is reported to Lenovo, but my experience says that nothing will come out of it.
