New Finnish mirror

Hello Arch community!

Our company has been testing Arch Linux lately and found it  being pretty interesting project. We also noticed there are no Finnish mirrors currently present for Pacman so here is our small contribution back for the community...

The mirror is located on ftp://ftp.sixnix.net/pub/archlinux
Currently only FTP access is provided but if there is demand for http and/or rsync access I promise to consider setting it up.
Mirror is synced at least once per day and we currently mirror both i686 and x86 and the following repos: stable, testing, unstable and community.

If you have any questions or suggestions regarding the mirror, please let me know.

P.S. Someone who has account on the Wiki could add our mirror to the mirror list on there.

EDIT 2: We mirror extra as well but forgot to mention it on my original message.

But doesn't pacman need http to get the sync list?
(or maybe i'm confusing this with something else)

Pacman uses wget to download the packages from internet, so you can supply the packages for Pacman using any of the ways wget supports. Someone correct me if i'm totally wrong, but this is how I believe it to be.. However, the mirror is working fine as we're using it also ourself to keep few desktops, laptops and servers in sync

Pacman uses its own routines (through some incorporated library, dunno which) for http and ftp access. But if you modify pacman.conf you could make it use wget, curl or others.
