[Solved]Emacs font problem

Hello all

I have a problem with my recent install of archlinux. When I try to fire up emacs under X, it looks like this screen shot:
http://www.pengworld.com/emacs.png

Emacs was started from ther terminal in the shot, and maybe the messages there serves as a hint for more experienced linuxers.

It works as expected under a terminal (emacs -nw), and the emacs under X is also functional except that the font is missing or something.

Anyone have any pointers?

Re: [Solved]Emacs font problem

Same problem here.

I fixed it by installing xorg-fonts-75dpi, which was a solution posted on these forums.

I tried searching for the thread to show you, but I can't seem to find it anymore. sad

Re: [Solved]Emacs font problem

Yeap:

pacman -S xorg-fonts-75dpi

followed by a restart of X (I used ctrl+alt+backspace) solved the problem

Thanks for the quick answer.

Any ideas where in the wiki this information should be located so that I can add it?
