[Solved] Strange network problem with iwd

I'm having some strange problems with my laptop and iwd.
I can connect to the wifi and get online, but I cannot connect to my local network. The only host I can ping from my own laptop is my router. If I connect my laptop to ethernet I can ping all of the hosts on my local network. Both wlan and ethernet are in the same subnet.
What gives?!

For some *very* strange reason my wifi had user isolation turned on (even if it said it was off) - rebooting the wifi router solved it
