Failing to start after update

Hi, im having a problem with my arch distro. it gives multiple errors on boot, and when i login, it stays loading forever and does nothing. cant access tty to run commands, it just goes to a black screen with the text cursor blinking. i have a bootable device i can use to chroot if needed.

errors are:

failed to start libvirt legacy monolithic system (dont think it has to do with the problem)
failed to listen on d-bus system message bus socket
failed to start user login management

This is likely the result of the service for that specific tty failing (which would be expected if a rapid series of logins failed and looped.  But you may be able to switch to another tty with Alt-F2 or Alt-F3 then log in there.
